Keith Hayes is the Director of Recovery at Royal Mentoring Group and the former Director of Recovery at 5280 Recovery High School—recognized as the nation’s largest recovery high school. A dedicated leader in the youth recovery movement, Keith has built his career around creating pathways of hope, healing, and opportunity for young people navigating substance use and life challenges.
With a strong focus on justice-engaged youth, Keith has worked extensively with young people impacted by the legal system, helping them reconnect to education, community, and purpose. His approach combines accountability with compassion, emphasizing mentorship, peer support, and long-term recovery strategies that meet youth where they are.
Keith’s work is deeply rooted in his own lived experience. As a man in long-term recovery from the disease of addiction, he brings authenticity, credibility, and unwavering commitment to the communities he serves. His story fuels his advocacy, allowing him to connect with young people and families in a meaningful and transformative way.
