What is Royal Rise.

A community-based mentoring and life coaching initiative helping youth rise above trauma, violence, incarceration, and negative environments through structured peer support and behavioral health services. Royal Rise is an exclusive mentoring and wraparound support program developed by Royal Mentoring Group to serve at-risk, justice-involved, and system-impacted youth both in the community and within juvenile detention facilities. The program is designed to provide structured mentorship, emotional support, behavioral guidance, accountability, and life coaching through, licensed therapist, qualified QBHA mentors and lived-experience life coaches who understand the real-life challenges youth face.

Program Components:

  • Real-Life Mentorship & Intervention
Men and women with firsthand experience in the justice system engage with youth through video calls, in-person visits, and phone calls to juvenile facilities, schools (5th–12th grade), and group homes. Mentors share the realities of incarceration, the consequences of poor choices, and pathways to redemption, helping young people recognize alternative opportunities for success and avoid risky behaviors, including substance use and violent activity

  • Social Responsibility
Youth learn how their immediate environment, including neighborhood conditions, peer networks, and local resources affects choices related to violence, substance abuse, and overall well-being. The program teaches how safe, supportive spaces and community engagement reduce exposure to crime and addictive behaviors. Participants also explore sustainability, environmental justice, and the role of healthy environments in shaping opportunities, emphasizing that positive environmental stewardship promotes safer, more resilient communities.

  • Navigating Modern Life Challenges
Through discussions and workshops, mentors address key generational struggles such as social media influence, peer pressure, economic hardship, systemic injustice, mental health, and access to resources. Participants gain practical strategies to manage these challenges, resist substance use, avoid violent behaviors, and create pathways to break free from cycles of crime, poverty, and incarceration.

Royal Rise focuses on reducing recidivism, strengthening family and community connections, improving decision-making skills, and helping youth successfully transition into productive and stable lifestyles. Services are individualized to meet each youth where they are mentally, emotionally, socially, and behaviorally while promoting positive identity development and long-term self-sufficiency.

Royal Mentoring Group mentors provide consistent in-person support through school visits, community engagement, facility-based mentoring sessions, home visits, court support, and reentry planning services. Youth receiving services while detained continue receiving mentorship upon release to ensure continuity of care and accountability during reintegration back into the community.

The program also incorporates financial literacy, career readiness, substance abuse awareness, conflict resolution, music-based therapeutic expression, and goal planning to create meaningful pathways away from violence, gang involvement, and incarceration.

In addition, Royal Mentoring Group provides specialized mentorship and mental wellness support for young athletes across all sports. Through its athletic peer support model, the organization connects youth athletes with mentors who help strengthen confidence, emotional regulation, leadership, discipline, communication skills, and life balance both on and off the field or court. Royal Mentoring Group recognizes that many young athletes face pressures related to performance, peer influence, mental health, academics, family dynamics, and identity development, and the organization works to provide positive guidance and support systems that help athletes navigate those challenges in healthy ways.

Sports teams, schools, recreation centers, and athletic organizations can partner directly with Royal Mentoring Group to connect coaching staff and players with experienced mentors and peer support specialists. Mentors work alongside coaches to help create positive team culture, conflict resolution strategies, leadership development, emotional support systems, and accountability practices that strengthen both individual athletes and overall team dynamics. These services are designed to support the mental wellness and personal development of student athletes while helping organizations build healthier and more connected athletic environments.

Program Outlook

Royal Rise is centered on long-term prevention, rehabilitation, and community restoration. By pairing youth with trained mentors and credible messengers with lived experience, the program aims to bridge the gap between intervention and opportunity while creating safer communities and healthier futures for young people.

Royal Mentoring Group believes youth respond best to authentic mentorship from individuals who can relate to their experiences while also modeling accountability, growth, and leadership. Through intensive mentorship and wraparound support, the initiative seeks to lower juvenile incarceration rates, improve school and employment outcomes, strengthen mental wellness, and reduce repeat system involvement.

Services provided through Royal Rise are designed to be sustainable and accessible through multiple funding avenues, including Medicaid reimbursement, insurance billing, state and county contracts, grant funding, and community partnerships.
